TRL introduced the deflectograph to the UK in the late 1960s and are one of only 5 current providers of deflectograph testing in the country and is commonly used alongside the Falling Weight Deflectometer FWD.

TRL’s deflectograph is Traffic Signs Manual Chapter 8 compliant and operated in compliance with the requirements of Design Manual for Roads and Bridges Volume 7 Section 3 Part 2 HD29/08. We undertake the annual accreditation trials and comply with all quality assurance requirements of the accreditation process.

Our deflectograph is operated with sub-metre GNSS (global navigation satellite system) equipment for enhanced data location information.

TRL can upload post-processed data direct to HAPMS on our Client’s behalf or undertake processing in PANDEF in order to determine residual life.
