Charles Rice, the Chairman of the board of the TRF (Transport Research Foundation), the non-profit distributing parent of the TRL group of companies (TRL, TRL Software and the Smart Mobility Living Lab), made the following announcement today, 17th January 2022.
“On behalf of the board and employees of TRL, I am pleased to announce the appointment of two new, independent Non-Executive Directors to the board of TRF.
Miranda Sharp worked in industry and was the Ordnance Survey Director of Innovation before building a portfolio of roles that includes the National Digital Twin Programme, the Centre for Cities, The Information Commissioner’s Office, the Mayor’s Smart London Board and others.
Guy Mason has management consultancy (Coopers and Lybrand), operational leadership (DB Schenker, TNT and Sainsburys, amongst others) and board experience in a variety of enterprise and start-up companies in logistics, supply chain, retail, leisure and IT.
Peter Millard has stepped down from the board, and I would like to thank Peter for his wise counsel and commitment to TRF’s success.
I am looking forward to working with Miranda and Guy, and I know that TRL will benefit from their wide experience and the fresh perspective that they will bring to us.“
