About the project:

The Low Emission Freight and Logistics Trial tested vans going electric and lorries running on hydrogen dual-fuel under a £20 million government programme to cut emissions and improve air quality.

The aim of the trial was to demonstrate new technologies and to encourage the widespread introduction of low and zero emission vehicles to UK fleets.

The funding for the trial came from the Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) and Innovate UK. TRL carried out data collection and analysis of the performance, cost savings and environmental impacts of the trial vehicles to evidence impact.
