the results are presented of a small study in 22 schools of what teachers do in the way of road safety teaching, and how they feel about it. it would appear that, except for cycling, not a great deal is done by the teachers themselves, though they are not against teaching road safety. teachers say that they would do more such teaching if they were actively encouraged to do so. ways in which such encouragement might be supplied are discussed. sending out teaching notes, printed on a separate sheet, tends to increase the use of the pictorial learning aids normally received by most schools.(a)
